Project Diaspora is A way Out Space based MMORPG where you pilot your ship and take on the galaxies as a lone pilot. The Project Diaspora is a social game and made so you can quickly join other squads of players. Income is earned by trading most often between other planets. However can also be earned by fighting off other players and looting them. The ships in Project Diaspora can be completely configured to your specific needs. The exciting part this game is a lot like Eve Online however instead of taking over sectors of space, you take over other players planets to expand your dominion for your squad and really make the big bucks.
What’s really unique about Project Diaspora is that the main server architecture is set up to handle unrelated servers to act as one, which means you can download and run your own Project Diaspora server to expand the main universe and build your own areas on it, kinda Neat!
Now Down to the game play, Project Diaspora Starts with the same Story line as many of the space MMORPG’s.
Civilization as we know it has ended. You are a clone. The central banks of the known universe have funded your creation and you have been credited with what you need to lift off. If you are an experiment, we do not know, all we do know is that this universe is not completely inhabited with your kind and you have been given what you need to start your exploration. Bla, Bla Bla..

The game play of Project Diaspora is extremely addictive, The kind where you wont leave your keyboard for hours on end. The high quality, multi-player internet based game That also features a single player mode. Graphics are good, and game mechanics solid. The client is Linux based!
Give Project Diaspora a good play over the weekend, This linux MMORPG is sure to please. I enjoyed it I hope you do too!

indeed a clone of the old Diaspora, made by the second person to run a successful clone-game after the original game died in 1999.
i’ve played the old game Diaspora, Rillaspora in several versions with different owners and of course Xiaspora by this coder.
All of these were very addictive and yeah, very similar to Eve Online. Eve is what sporagames could have been.
All of the games i played were having trouble with cheaters and hackers, so as in Eve: be aware! Dont use the same password for this game either, someone might steal your Eve Online stuff!
Holy shit, this is a clone of a game I used to play back in…1999, one of the very first space client based MMORPGs. It was farking awesome before the devealopers pulled the plug.
